Enjoyment

Pair your drills.

Your team's Enjoyment score is in the Opportunity zone. That's not a problem — it's a signal. Here's something you can do about it this week.

A low score here can come from lots of small things — and small adjustments often have the biggest impact. Here's one idea to try.
Try this

Nobody left standing and watching.

Whatever you're working on with one position, give the others a mini-drill that connects to it. One theme, two positions, everyone busy, everyone improving — nobody left standing and watching.

Why this works

Enjoyment isn't about how fun the session was — it's about being in it. The girl who stands and watches others get the focus quietly decides there's no point coming. She doesn't complain. She just drifts. Paired drills make standing around impossible. Every girl has a job, every girl is improving, and every girl leaves feeling like the session was for her — not just for the ones the drill was designed around.

This week: Take one drill from your plan that only involves some positions, and give everyone else a partnered job alongside it. Defenders extending a clearance? Put a midfielder on the other end controlling it and bringing it down. One drill, two positions, both busy.

More ideas for Enjoyment coming soon.
You know your girls. If anything here feels bigger than football, trust that instinct and speak to your welfare officer.
