CHGConnect isn't here to give you more to do. It's here to make some of what you're already doing easier to manage.
Add CHGConnect to your home screen
Open it like an app — no download needed
CHGConnect works in your browser, but adding it to your home screen means you can open it with one tap — just like any other app. It takes about ten seconds.
iPhone (Safari)
- Open CHGConnect in SafariGo to app.chgconnect.app — it must be Safari, not Chrome or another browser.
- Tap the Share buttonIt's the square icon with the arrow pointing up, at the bottom of your screen.
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"You may need to scroll the list to find it.
- Tap "Add"CHGConnect will appear on your home screen with its own icon. Open it from there next time.
Android (Chrome)
- Open CHGConnect in ChromeGo to app.chgconnect.app.
- Tap the three-dot menuIt's in the top-right corner of Chrome.

Tell your players too
The same steps work for your players' portal. If they add it to their home screen, signing in next time is just a tap away — no searching for a link in the chat.
Her Voice Matters
Your first team pulse
Her Voice Matters gives you an anonymous snapshot of how your team is doing right now — before you've set anything else up.
How it works
- Start your pulseNo squad setup or player accounts needed.
- Share one linkSend it to your players through WhatsApp, or wherever you normally reach your team.
- They answer 5 questionsPlayers are asked about Enjoyment, Belonging, Development, Voice and Confidence.
- The link stays open for 48 hoursPlayers can respond at any point during that window.
- Six responses unlock your resultsOnce at least six players have responded, you'll see the team's overall scores out of 10.
The five questions
- EnjoymentHow much do you look forward to coming to training?
- BelongingHow much do you feel like you belong in your team?

What can I see?
You see the team picture only.
You won't see which player gave which answer. That protection is deliberate — it gives players the space to answer honestly.
What if fewer than 6 respond?
The link stays open for 48 hours. If fewer than six players have answered by the time it closes, the pulse simply ends without showing scores — six responses are needed to keep answers anonymous. You're free to start a fresh pulse whenever you like.
Why this matters
You probably already hear from the players who are comfortable speaking up. The harder ones to read are often the quiet ones. This gives everyone the same chance to respond — without you having to find time for a dozen individual conversations.
Hear from players you might not otherwise hear from.
What the scores are for
The scores aren't there to give you all the answers. They're there to give you somewhere to look. A lower score doesn't automatically mean there's a problem — it may just be something worth exploring, asking about, or keeping an eye on.
CHGConnect surfaces the signal. You decide what it means.
Build your squad
One place to keep track of everyone
Once you're ready to go beyond the pulse, you set up your squad. Every player sits on your dashboard with a clear status, so you're not holding availability and injuries in your head.

Why this matters
You're already keeping track of who's available, who's carrying a knock, whose circumstances have changed — often partly in your head. This puts it in one place so you can see who might need a closer look.
And on At Risk specifically: it isn't telling you there's a problem — it's a nudge to take a look. Missing sessions can mean a hundred things. CHGConnect spots the pattern; you bring the judgment.
Player logins & PINs
When you add a player, the name you enter becomes her login name. Every player also gets her own 6-digit PIN. From My Squad → Player Pins, you can see each player's login details and copy or change her PIN.
What to share, and how
The team link — this stays the same throughout the season. Share it once into your team chat, or find it alongside each player's PIN under My Squad → Player Pins.
A login name + PIN — share with that player individually.
Please don't post a list of player names and PINs in a team or parent group — a PIN is personal to each girl.
Your players' side
Exactly what your players see
This is the part coaches ask about most. It's deliberately light for the girls, and their honesty is protected.
Signing in
- They sign in using your squad link — the same link works every time throughout the season. You'll find it under My Squad → Player Pins alongside each player's login details.
- They sign in with their name and PINEach girl signs in using the name you added her to the squad with, and her individual 6-digit PIN. (If she forgets it, you can find or reset it under My Squad → Player Pins.)
- No account, no email, no downloadThey don't create an account or hand over an email address, and there's no app to download.
- First time only — she completes her Player ProfileSeven quick questions help her tell you more about herself, what she wants from the season, and what helps her get the best from your coaching. She can update these later.
- Returning is simpleWhen she comes back, she signs in again the same way — her name and PIN.
What their portal shows
When a girl logs in, she sees the recognition you've given her first — before she's asked anything. Then, if you've sent a check-in, she sees the two questions to answer, and a quiet way to ask to chat if she wants to. The recognition greets her before she gives anything back; that's on purpose.

Her check-in answers only ever reach you as part of the team picture — never traced back to her. Everything else in this table is something she chooses to share with you directly, or something you give to her.
Your Voice Matters
Check in without chasing everyone
Her Voice Matters gives you the first snapshot. Your Voice Matters lets you keep checking in once your squad is set up — whenever you want to understand how the team is doing.
How a check-in works
- Pick an areaChoose from the five that shape how a girl feels about her sport: Enjoyment, Belonging, Development, Voice and Confidence.
- Choose 2 questionsPick the two questions you'd like to ask this time — they can come from different areas.
- Send your check-in - Your squad link stays the same throughout the season. Just remind your players to log in — a quick message in the team chat is all it takes. Players sign in with their name and PIN and answer.
- Answers become your team pictureTheir responses feed straight into Team Insights — as a group, never named.
What will I see?
The team's overall picture only — never an individual's answers. The five areas you can ask about are the same five you track in Team Insights, so what you ask lines up neatly with what you see build over time.
When should I use it?
Use it when there's something you want to understand across the team — not because it's Tuesday. CHGConnect shouldn't become another weekly admin job.
Why this matters
When something's on your mind about the group — how they're settling, whether a change landed — you can ask the whole team once, instead of trying to catch a dozen players individually.
Ask once. Hear from the team. Then get back to coaching.
Recognition
Give every player feedback without creating more admin
Recognition lives inside Session Review. You pick a date, choose whether it was a training session or a match day, and mark who attended — then you name what each girl brought.
How it works
- Mark who attendedTick off the players who were there. (This is also what keeps your squad statuses up to date.)
- Recognise each playerTap a player, choose a category, then pick the words that fit. Confirm, and she's marked done.
- Everyone who came gets oneYou can save and come back later, but you can't move on until every player who attended has been recognised.
Your categories
Pick one of the six skill categories to name something specific she showed — or Coach Recognition for a warmer, general well-done, like "you should be proud of yourself today." The wording adjusts a little for junior and senior teams. Changed your mind? Just tap the player again and adjust it.
Why you can't skip anyone
The screen won't let you move on until everyone who turned up has been recognised. That's deliberate. It's not about the standout players — it's about every girl who showed up being seen. The rest, not just the best.
Where does it go?
Each girl sees her recognition when she next opens her portal, and it stays with her — it becomes part of her history across the season, not a one-off that disappears.
Why this matters
You're probably already praising players as you go. The hard part isn't doing it — it's making sure it reaches everyone consistently when you're running a whole squad. This lets you see who you've recognised without having to hold it all in your head.
Player Profiles
Everything about one player, in one place
The first thing a girl does when she joins is fill in a short profile — so you get to know her a little from the start. Instead of trying to remember everything you've picked up across training, matches and conversations, you've got one place to come back to.
What she's asked
Seven short questions, worded for her age group. They cover the name she'd like you to use, what she loves most about playing (or what motivates her), her favourite position, a player she admires, how she likes to approach trying something new, her goal for the season, and an open space for anything she'd like you to know. She can update her answers any time — the latest version is what you see.
What's on her profile
Her profile never shows her private check-in answers — those always stay part of the anonymous team picture.
Why this matters
You might be managing 15, 20 or more different personalities, all motivated by different things. No one can remember every conversation with every player. Her profile isn't just an admin record — it's somewhere to come back to:
Before a conversation — remind yourself what matters to her. Thinking about development — revisit what she wants from the season and what builds her confidence. Over time — see what she's told you alongside the recognition and feedback she's received.
Good coaching shouldn't depend on remembering everything.
A note on what players share
Some of these answers are open boxes, so a player may choose to share something personal — about how she's feeling, or something going on for her. If anything a player shares ever concerns you, follow your club's normal safeguarding process, just as you would with anything a player told you in person. CHGConnect helps you notice — it doesn't replace your safeguarding responsibilities.
Ask to Chat
A quiet way for a player to say, "Can we talk?"
This is different from an anonymous check-in. From her portal, a girl can quietly ask to chat. Because she's choosing to reach out to you directly, this one isn't anonymous — you'll see her name.
How it works
- She asks to chatA tap from her portal, whenever she wants to.
- Her name appears for youYou'll see who asked, and when, in your Check-In list — not just a number.
- You have the conversation, then resolve itTalk with her through your normal, appropriate channels, then mark it resolved.
Good to know
A player can't flood you with requests — she can only have one open at a time. And what happens next is up to you and your club's usual safeguarding processes: CHGConnect surfaces the request, it doesn't handle the conversation for you.
Why this matters
Not every girl will come up to you after training — especially while you're packing away, talking to parents, and dealing with everything else at the end of a session. This gives her another way to put her hand up, so you don't have to catch every moment yourself.
Team Insights
Turn individual moments into a bigger picture
Your first pulse was a snapshot. Team Insights turns those snapshots into trends, so you can see how your team is really moving over time.
What each tile means
You'll see five tiles — Enjoyment, Belonging, Development, Voice and Confidence. Each one shows your team's average answer to that area's questions over the last 28 days, on a scale up to 10. There's also a Team Health tile: the overall average across all five, for a single at-a-glance read. Alongside them, a response count tells you how many check-ins the picture is built on.
Don't worry about one score
Because it's a rolling 28-day average, the value is the trend, not a single week's number. Team Insights aren't a report card on your coaching — they're another piece of information to help you understand what's happening across your team.
Why this matters
A single session, score or conversation can be misleading on its own. This does the tracking across time so you don't have to — you don't need to analyse anything or react to every little movement.
